The 320 gigapixel record breaking image of the capital London

The BT Tower London

To celebrate a record breaking year after the end of the London 2012 Games, 360Cities have taken the world’s biggest picture of the capital London from the BT tower. Its is just amazing and scary at the same time to realize how far you can zoom in. You can actually look inside peoples apartments from several miles away.

The 320 gigapixel image – taken by expert photography firm 360Cities – comprises 48,640 individual frames which have been collated into a single panorama by a supercomputer.

If printed at normal photographic resolution, it would be almost as tall and as wide as Buckingham Palace.
